There are so many attractions to visit in the
Cape Coral area that the list in almost inexhaustable. We

Cape Coral Historical Museum

Children's Science Center Science and technology can be fun!
Hands-on exploration using exhibits on electricity, optical
illusions, dinosaurs, plus live reptiles on display. (Telescope
viewing January through April only). Admission is $4 for visitors
17 years and older and $2 for children 3 to 16 years old.

Four Mile Cove Ecological Park

"Eco" Park has 365-acres of unspoiled
wetlands and mangrove swamp on the Caloosahatchee River. The
park features a 4,200-foot walking trail and a visitor centre.
Lover's Key State Recreation Area

Located between Bonita Beach and Fort Myers
Beach, Lover's Key is a blend of recreational and educational
experiences you can enjoy year-round. The north side of the
island features natural canals and tidal lagoons fringed with
mangroves, which support an array of fish and diverse aquatic
animals. Accessible by foot or boat, the park has modern bathhouses,
picnic shelters, hiking trails and beautiful remote beaches.

The Shell Factory

A newly renovated shopping/entertainment/restaurant
complex featuring over 5,000,000 shells and shell novelties.
Browse for resort wear, jewellery, gifts and leather goods.
Other attractions include Waltzing Waters, Journey Into Africa,
the Railroad Museum, bumper and paddle boats. A variety of
restaurants are available on site. Handicapped accessible.
Edison-Ford Winter Estates

Two of the area's most popular attractions
are the homes of these famous next-door neighbours, Thomas
Edison and Henry Ford. Tour Edison's botanical gardens, his
laboratory and the museum with the world's largest collection
of Edison's inventions and memorabilia. Handicapped accessible.
Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum

Visit the only sea shell museum in the U.S.
and view some of the sea's finest treasures. The museum features
thematic groupings of shells in ecological habitats from the
Southwest Florida barrier islands to the Florida Everglades.

Everglades Wonder Gardens

One of Florida's earliest wildlife attractions,
visitors can delight in seeing Florida panthers, black bear,
alligators, deer, trained otter, and other wildlife. Visitors
exit the park through a unique history museum with artifacts
and relics from the prehistoric and Calusa Indian eras. Admission
for adults is $8, $4 for children ages 3 to 12.
